Podiatry treatments have many benefits, including reduced pain, lower muscle tension, better mobility and education for patients.

Lower Plenty podiatrists can provide complete podiatry care for our patients to help you get back on the right foot sooner.

What does a podiatrist do?

Podiatrists diagnose and treat conditions that affect the feet, ankles, and lower limbs.

The human foot is composed of bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and soft tissue. It is designed to bear the weight of the body and to provide mobility.

Many factors can cause foot problems, including injury, arthritis, and diabetes. Podiatrists treat these conditions with a variety of methods, including exercise and stretching, manual manipulation, shockwave therapy, and orthotics (custom-made arch supports).

The prevention of foot problems is also a key role played by podiatrists. They can offer advice about footwear and exercise, as well as other ways to maintain healthy feet.
